Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Pick up from Entebbe International Airport
Upon arrival at Entebbe international airport , you will be welcomed by the tour guide of Primate Safari Experiences , transfer you to the accommodation hotel for dinner and overnight as you wait to undertake the safari next day.
Day 2: Kampala- Bwindi Gorilla Safari
After early morning breakfast, you will be joined by the tour guide of Primate Safari Experiences and will orient you about the travel plan routes and after transfer to Bwindi forest national park located in south western Uganda, with the en-route stop at the Uganda equator for unforgettable photos, snacks and then after drive to Agip motel for lunch.
Thereafter drive to the Bwindi gorilla park and have your dinner and overnight at Mahogany springs/Gorilla Forest camp/Engagi lodge/Silver back lodge/Buhoma Rest Camp/Bwindi view inn. Meal plan: Full board.
Day 3: Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi Forest
Have breakfast, after transfer to the park head offices for the briefing about the mountain gorillas and the park, thereafter enter into the forest for searching the mountain gorillas.
When you meet them take photos and the videos, have your packed lunch and after the 1 hour allowed to stay with the gorillas transfer back to the park offices for your gorilla trekking certificate. Then return to lodge for your relaxation and dinner and overnight, meal plan: F/B
Day 4 : Transfer from Bwindi Forest to Queen Elizabeth National Park
Have breakfast, and thereafter embark the safari vehicle and transfer to Queen Elizabeth national park via the Ishasha sector with the chance you will spot the tree climbing lions in the branches of the fig trees and on this game drive you will spot more other wildlife species.
Thereafter transfer to the Mweya peninsula for your dinner and overnight at Mweya lodge/Enganzi lodge/Bush lodge. Meal plan: F/B
Day 5 : Game drive & Boat ride
Have breakfast, and thereafter take dawn game drive looking for the African wildlife species like the lions, elephants, buffaloes, leopards, warthogs, water and bush buck and much more.
Return to lodge for lunch, thereafter take boat cruise along the Kazinga channel that connects Lake George to Lake Edward, and over this cruise expect to spot the wildlife and birds at the banks of the channel. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight, Meal plan: F/B
Day 6: Transfer to Beni in democratic republic of Congo
Drive to Beni via Mpondwe Border which is located near Kasese. Okapi reserve is home to about 5,000 okapi, 4,000 elephants, 2,000 leopards, chimpanzees and crocodiles.
Other Ituri rain forest animals include forest buffalo, and forest elephants. its nice place to spot the primates and other birds , its a birding destination . Dinner and overnight at Hotel Beni
Day 7: Wildlife watching
After breakfast visit Okapi Station. After lunch we begin trekking in the tropical forest. We will be permitted to follow such a group into the Jungle forest and where, possible, take our tents and setting up our camp near to their bands.
We are invited to spend the night around the camp fire, listening to their endless hunting stories under a beautiful blanket of African stars and pass the night in tents within a Pygmy village.
Day 8: Nature Walk and local community visit
Day 9: Return to Cross to Uganda.
Make a return journey back to Uganda via Beni and Butembo. Stop to visit Semuliki River (home of Hippos, Crocodiles and so many bird species) reach in the evening hours in Uganda side dinner and overnight at kasese lodge.
Day 10: Transfer back to Kampala
Have breakfast, and thereafter transfer back to Kampala with your lunch en-route, after transfer to the airport for your flight departure.
