Detailed Itinerary

Day 1:Transfer from Kigali to Bukavu ( southern DR Congo)

After arriving at the Kigali International Airport or waking up in the morning at the hotel/ lodge, you will be picked by the company’s skilled representative/ driver who will transfer you southwards to the Cyangugu border en-route Bukavu Congo and on your way you will enjoy the scenic views of the rolling hills, vegetation of Rwanda.

You can opt to visit the various Genocide Memorial sites and other attractions around Rwanda. Dinner and Overnight at Hotel Horizon, Orchid Safari Lodge/ Coco Lodge.

Day 2: Lowland Gorilla Trekking at Kahuzi Biega National Park

After morning break fast , you will jump into the safari jeep and take one hour drive to the park headquarter for briefing about the lowland gorilla trekking rules & regulations . Understand that Lowland gorillas in Kahuzi Biege National Park  that are much bigger in size with vast family groups as compared to the endangered species of Mountain Gorillas.

After the trek, you can opt to the chimpanzee orphanage centre Near the park , Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Departure

After breakfast in the morning, you will transfer back to Kigali where you will arrive in the evening and you can choose to either rest/ relax in one of the accommodation or transfer direct to the airport for your flight back home.
