You will be picked from hotel in kigali or welcomed at Kigali international Airport by the tour guide of Active African Vacations and drive to northern province watching the rolling hills of Rwanda and arrive in gisenyi in lunch time.
After lunch cross to Congo through goma border , enjoy the view of goma town as you proceed to bukima tented camp for dinner & Overnight. Meals Full Board.
After breakfast you will walk to Virunga National Park’s headquarters( Bukima) for orientation where you will be briefed about the Dos and Don’ts when interacting with the Gorillas. After you will enter into the jungle to search for the primates in the wild.
This may take around 3-4 hours and upon and only 8 people are allowed to track a group in an hour. When you meet them, keep a short distance from them and take photos with cameras that don’t have flashes.
You may also spot other primates like the Colobus monkeys, golden monkeys, vervet monkeys, L’hoest monkeys as well as different bird species. After trekking, proceed back through Goma to Kigali to board your flight back home.
