Kafeero Edward grew up in Lyantonde in the early 1990s, in a home and surroundings where  the forests were still abundant. There, he developed a deep love for nature while being surrounded by various monkeys, which inspired him to start a company after completing university. In 2013, during a trip to Rwanda, he was relaxing in Volcanoes National Park as part of a volunteer program with a Ugandan-based tour company that organized a group tour with seven cars.

While there, he learned more about African primates, which enhanced his understanding of wildlife and taught him how to differentiate gorillas from chimpanzees. This experience led him to conceive Primate Safari Experiences, which began its operations in Uganda and Rwanda.

In 2015, he ventured into the wilderness of the Democratic Republic of Congo, where he went mountain gorilla trekking and hiked Nyiragongo as part of a farm trip. Later, he officially opened this destination to tourists, starting with the first couple who visited Kahuzi Biega National Park and Virunga on a 10-day Congo gorilla tour led by Moses as their guide.

In 2020, Primate Safari Experiences acquired the official brand of Primatesafaris.com and expanded its boundaries  to include Tanzania , Kenya, and Madagascar as areas of operation, where the company leads tours for private and group adventures.

 

Guides Background.

The Company started with 3 guides that used to lead primate Safaris in all its destination of Adventure- Moses , Kasule and Baker. To date , the company has over 14 guides where by the longest serving guide is Moses who has lead trips to Uganda, Rwanda and Congo under the theme of Primate Watching tours in the wilderness of Africa.
