This 8 days/ 7 nights Kenya masai mara Wildlife & Gorilla Trekking safaris takes you to two famous national parks in Kenya & Rwanda. Starting with Masai mara National Park is a large game reserve in Narok County, Kenya; contiguous with the Serengeti National Park in Mara Region, for 3 Days and later board Kenyan Airline to arrive to kigali international airport and transfer to Volcanoes National park located in Northern province & known as the home for rwanda primates like mountain gorilla, Golden monkey & all gorilla tours are done here.
Day 1: Transfer to Masai mara National Park from Nairobi ( 4 Hours Driving time)
Day 2: Game Drive & Masai Village visit in Afternoon.

Upon arrival You’ll be collected from the airport & Transfer to the hotel of your choice.
Depart Nairobi in the morning for a journey south through the floor of the Great Rift Valley. You will have a picnic lunch at Narok. Arrive in Masai Mara for late afternoon game viewing en route. An early evening game drive is taken till late evening. Dinner and overnight are at the tented camp.
After breakfast you will head for a full day game drive in the park in search of the Big Five.
Next you will continue the drive up to the Maasai Mara river where you will have your picnic lunches. Meals and overnight will be at the camp. (Optional visit to the Masai Village in the afternoon or to see the animals).
Have an early pre- morning game drive, then breakfast and later a second morning game drive. You will have a picnic lunch at Narok before arriving in Nairobi in the late afternoon to catch your flight to kigali international park where you will be welcomed by the tour guide from Rwanda Side.
Upon Arrival at Kigali International Airport , you will be welcomed by the tour guide of Active African Vacations , go for city tour to visit the genocide memorials & later transfer to the Ruhengeri arrive in evening hours check in the lodge.Dinner and overnight at Mountain gorilla view lodge/Five Volcanoes Lodge/Laplame Hotel/Kinigi guest house. Meal plan Full board.
After early morning breakfast, you will transfer to Volcanoes National Park Rwanda Park headquarters for briefing about the dos and donts on Gorilla trekking, registration, gorilla group allocation and later enter the jungle forest to start the search for the mountain gorillas like 2-4 hours walking to reach the territory where the mountain gorillas are resting.
Then 1 hour with the gorillas taking photos and videos. Then after return to the park offices for your gorilla trekking certificate and then drive to lodge and relax, visit the local communities in the evening hours. Return to lodge for dinner and overnight, Meal plan: Full Board.
Have breakfast, and then go for the Golden monkey trekking, be briefing about the dos and donts and later enter into the jungle to search for the primates in the Wild and after return to the lodge for lunch , After noon visit to the amazing twin Lakes (Burera and Ruhondo). Dinner and overnight as above. Meal plan:Full Board.
Early morning breakfast, later embark into the safari jeep and take a simple two hours drive from Ruhengeri to lake kivu passing through the congo nile trail ,After lunch , take a boat ride on the Lake Kivu visiting the fishing villages. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight at lake Kivu Waterfront beach/ Lake kivu Serena hotel/
Wake up in the morning hours and enjoy the view of Mount Nyiragongo Volcano in the clear sky blue day and later transfer back to kigali to catch the flight back home. You will go for shopping in the local markets of Kigali.
